What Decoder sends, where it goes, and what stays on your machine.
Where judgments go
Directly from your browser to the provider you configured, using the API key you supplied. Nothing sits in between.
radrebeldeveloper operates no server for Decoder and receives nothing: not the page text, not an identifier, not a count of how often you use it. What your provider does with what it receives is governed by its own terms.
What is sent
Only when you ask for it, and only from the page you are on:
- The text of the post you asked Decoder to read
- The platform the post is on
What is never sent
- Anything you type into a form field, and any password or payment detail
- Cookies, session tokens or authentication state
- Your browsing history. Decoder never reads the list of sites you have visited; it only reads the page in front of you
- Your name, email address or any account identifier
What is stored, on your machine only
- A cache of translations, so re-reading a post costs nothing
- Your settings, including which provider you chose and its API key
- Your licence key, after you activate it
All of it lives in chrome.storage.local on this device. Clearing it is a button in the options page, and uninstalling the extension removes everything.
What is not done
- Nothing is sold or transferred to third parties
- Nothing is used for advertising
- Nothing is used to train any model
- There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, and no crash reporter
Licence checks
When you activate a licence, the key you paste is sent to Gumroad to be verified, and the result is stored locally. That is the only other network request Decoder makes. It is re-checked about once a month, and a licence keeps working for 90 days without a successful check, so an outage or a flight does not cost you what you paid for.
Children
Decoder is not directed at children under 13. radrebeldeveloper collects no information from anyone.
Changes
Changes to this policy are posted on this page, and the date below changes with them.
